We have already completed the first day- it has gone so quickly! We are all so happy and excited to be at Sangam World Centre, our home in India.

All the participants have travelled 1000s of miles to get to the festival from Ireland, Bangladesh, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, England, Wales, Estonia, Finland, Ghana, Greece, India, Korea, Malawi, Malta, Mexico, Rwanda, Singapore, Spain, Austria, Australia, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, UK, Ukraine and USA!

ODay 1 (4)n the first day of the festival the participants were welcomed both by Jen- the World Centre Manager and Nicola- the Chair of the World Board. It was then off to visit the two Community Partners: SV Union and DES School in which the Community Action Projects will take place later in the week.

It was then back to Sangam for lunch and then an afternoon spent taking part in Free Being Me activities and learning more about the programme.

The evening was in true Sangam style of welcoming all the participants in the Welcome Ceremony!

Look out for our daily update tomorrow!
